Is it trually Christmas time!?! Well we might just be having a "White Christmas"! Since this last sunday we have gotten around 2 1/2 feet of snow and keeps on growin. This last week, its been about 1 degree in the mornings around 5 when we go to feed the horses! Right now as I speak, it is snowing and we are soposed to be getting a crazy storm. who knew?

** Tis' the Season **

Can you believe it? Its CHRISTMAS TIME!! Its so insane. Everyone is just Busy, Busy ,BUSY. momma has been decorating for a week or so straight! Lil' shirl has been busy doin her thang and dad, Well dad is just doing his thang too! As for me, I am trying to sell as many of my unneeded things on craigslist and babysit as much as possible to get a few bucks :]

Update on miss Tally

What nice weather!! I had a lesson this morning with my trainer Abby. Here's a few pictures and vids of my dressage lesson ;]

The Baptism.

Its about time!! Grandma Shirley got Baptized on Saturday November 8th. Aaron, Maegan and their family made the trip up here and Karlyn as well as Amy ( Ken's daughers) and their children came up here from Utah. What a great experence!!

What a CLOSE ONE!!

Today around 3:oo, Our whole street disappeared in smoke. There was about 5 or 6 firefighting vehicles and around 4 police cars. There was a house on 47th that went into complete flames and didn't settle down for quite some time. It was the house right behind the Pink/ turquoise vietnamese house. So it was a close one. The winds were about 30 mph. We were lucky it didn't spread the street!!

G-ma's BIG Decesion !!!

Every monday for the last 11months, The missionaries have been coming over to our house for discussions. A man named Jason, from our ward, always came over after work. G-ma at first was always tired and just hung out in her room. But that was only for two months and mom kept inviting her to come out and listen. These days she is up and out , taking notes and being super involved in the discussions. Last monday, 9/15/08, she set a date to be baptised!! WAy to go grandma!!! The date is November 8th so be sure to come if you can. There is always room at our house and I know that she would especially appreciate it :]

The Offical Rally.

What a weekend!! We Left here about 4:30 friday afternoon. The next morning me and dad woke up at 5 and headed down to the barn there in Spokane. We then were done about 7 at night and had a good 2 hour drive home to look forward to. The weather was perfect, no complaints! This events works that you have 3 rounds and a Jump off. You have to clear(meaning having no faults with the poles or time and not falling off- elimination) ALL 3 rounds and if you do, you get to do the jump off immediatly start after the 3rd round. With me, I cleared the 1st and 2nd round but on the 3rd round one of the poles ( as you see in the video) got 1/2 way knocked off. It was a bummer. All in all, I placed 2nd out of 30 people. It was a really good rally for me :]

Training.

Yesterday I had a pratice Run for the Stadium jumping round that I am attending this weeekend. All went pretty well, we were just a bit stiff. I was jumping about 3'.

My NEW munchkin!

I can't Belive it!! We finally found such a great opportunity and sucessfully got a new horse at a heck of a bargin. Her name is Tally and I found her on this one website called Dreamhorse. She is 8 years old , 16 hands tall and is a throughbred. We( the WHOLE fam) drove down to Snohomish and picked up a horse trailer and then drove down to vancouver and picked her up. THEN... we drove home through the gorge. All in all, it was a 10 or more hour drive in one day. Pretty crazy. The Lady we purchased her from was Sonia and she had family in Sweden that she needed to attend to so, that is the reason of the sale. Anyways, I am sooo excited for this new oppurtunity to excell in my riding !

One of my New Favorite Bands.

So last night I had no plans other than veggin out at the house. My Friend Hannah called me and was like " Kiera wanna come with me to a concert at the fair? We have 3rd row seating from the stage! We have a spare ticket, and after we will buy you a turkey leg :]" I had no idea who Emerson Drive was but I went. Im not normally a contry fan, but this was SO good! It had a little rock in it. I highly reccomend going to one of their concerts if they are around!

Its Offical.

The day has finally come. We got our house sign up! After a few months of cleanup its almost ready to show. About 30 minutes after dad put up the sign, a few people asked him about it as he worked in the yard. But we shall see how things turn out ; ]

Wow last night was crazy INTENSE! In little k-town there was a huge thunder storm and lightning episodes. The little rascals( dogs) almost fricken peed. That would be no good , considering that the last few nights they have be pucking on my bed : [ no bueno.

Before the Trek, Clayton, his friend tyler and selah came up to visit us for a weekend. We played in the pool, went on walks and had a blast. One of the days that they were here, clay had some of their friends come over and swim as well. After a long day, this roudy bunch was sunburnt.

The 19th century Mormon pioneers who ventured west pulling their possessions in handcarts didn't have duct tape to fix holes in their shoes.
But that didn't keep Kevin Fairchild from using some Wednesday morning to patch up his battered hiking boot.
It came apart while he and 170 other teens from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints trekked through farmland south of the Tri-Cities to re-enact the journey their ancestors took to find religious freedom.
The students are from the Kennewick East Stake. They hiked 12 miles Tuesday and covered more ground Wednesday. When they finish Friday, they'll have traveled about 21 miles on foot, lugging handcarts filled with their clothes, sleeping bags and Dutch ovens they used to cook their food.
"It was long and very hard," said Fairchild, 18, of his first day on the trail. But he wasn't complaining.
Several teens said the sweat and blisters helped them appreciate what the pioneers faced on their trip. About 70,000 came to the Salt Lake Valley by horseback or covered wagon and another 3,000 traveled using handcarts, the church website said.
The first group of pioneers arrived in the summer of 1847. It's a tradition for Mormon youth to re-enact the journey through treks of their own in the summertime.
The Kennewick teens tried to do it right.
"All the kids are in period dress as (best) we could figure. As much as we can, we try to rough it. We try to be as authentic as we can," said Rees Magleby, trail boss.
The girls in the group made their own aprons and bonnets, and some of them also sewed the long skirts or dresses they wore. The boys had loose trousers and button-down shirts. Some of them used straw hats with wide brims to shield their eyes from the sun.
Each teen carried a tin cup for drinking water because no plastic bottles were allowed. Some of them had leather strips on their wrists with the name of an ancestor who'd made the journey more than 160 years before.
At night, the kids sacked out in sleeping bags under the stars.
They traveled together in a caravan of handcarts over the rolling hills. The kids were divided into "families" of about nine people, with at least two adult chaperones, a "Ma" and "Pa." Each of the families had a cart.
They all were pushed together in a circle at camp Wednesday morning, and the kids worked to pack them up before starting out for the day. They looked tired but seemed in good spirits, even after nine hours of walking the day before.
"It was dusty," said Aaron Smith, 15.
"Going up the hill was kind of difficult," added Michelle Mace, 16.
"Our teeth were getting caked with dust," said Micah Leavitt, 18. "(But) it was to commemorate the pioneers and better appreciate what they went through."
The trail boss asked the group to gather for a prayer. He praised the teens' hard work and told them to keep it up. Then he sent them back on the trail.
There was sagebrush for miles, interrupted by circles of potatoes, corn and wheat. The caravan moved at a steady clip up the first of the day's hills.
One of the carts had a large American flag on it.
The kids talked, laughed and even sang as they trudged along.
"It's hard but it's worth it," said Ami Stephens, 15, as she took a shift pushing her cart from the back. "I like how we all work together."
The teens only were going to travel a few miles Wednesday and then spend time unwinding with a hoe-down and pioneer games. Even that was in keeping with the pioneer spirit, said Lisa Killian, an activities coordinator for the trip.
"The pioneers did have fun," she said. "They danced, they sang, they baked pies. It's amazing what they accomplished."
The youth trek is expected to wrap up Friday near Plymouth. Elizabeth Scott, 18, said she won't soon forget the days she spent reliving the history of her faith.
"I knew it was going to a really great experience," she said as the caravan took a short break in the morning sun. "I always wanted to be a pioneer."

Today I went to a Schooling Session out on our local Cross country course with my instructor's friend's horse. The Owner had broken her ankle when jumping this beast. She was a beginner completly so it's a little harder. Brego is 17.1 Hands tall. Duke Barely hits 15 hands. He was soo tall that I coulent see his back at ALL! I am 5'8'' so yeah, he is a HUNKY DUDE. It was a ton of fun and we did great.

What a Blast!! Dawn, Alan and all three of their girls came up to visit us here in Kennewick. It planned to be a week trip but they ended staying with us for another few days to check our the hydroplanes and because its SUCH DANG FUN around here! : ] We went swimming, ride the horses, went to the park and tydied shirts. Its so much fun being an auntee of the funnest kids ever! Oh and last night( friday) clay came up with selah and his friend named tyler and is hanging here for a few days.. wow, its a party house around here.

Well you may be wondering what the heck? what could ever be so hedious! well I had another horse accident. I has a Pratice run at a cross country course because I have a show coming up and I was originally going to try to qualify and go to nationals next year which is in Colorado. With uncertainity of getting a bigger horse and potential move. Anways, so this is my battle wound from the duke's hoof. We were jumping a water bank and duke predicted it was smaller and didn't pick up his feet enough and biffed it forward and kinda flipped forward and sidways. He then was attempting to get off the ground right next to where I fell and clipped me in my arm with his hoof. Its a Beauty huh?!

4th of July ..:...

This year was a blast. In kennewick they offically made it illegal to light of fireworks. But if you know the Davis's , you know they are rebels and go for it! We had the traditional swim, eat ice cream while watching fireworks. I had a good friend of mine come over and we hung out and got pretty crazy w/ the fireworks. Crazy girls + fireworks = disaster. haha well luckily every thing turned out to be alright. I hope you Had great 4th like I did!!

At the end of June, Colton and Jenna came to visit us for about 4 days. We watched movies, went to parks , went on walks , played some family b-ball and had an overall GREAT time. Mom took them to the Howard Amon Park in Richand and took some pictures. Jenna wanted some new pics. Heres how they turned out:

Happy " Late " 15th B-day

Yup. I sure did turn 15. It was about time. I think my legs growth were exceeding my brains. Anyways, I had such a good time going to dinner and then just hanging with the fam. I have to tell ya, the morning sucked :] I got my braces off, but the pain was horrid. Im sure glad thats over but it was totally worth it. Then the next day I had a few of my buddies come over and partied out. I got a book,glasses ,bags and gift cards. Thank you everyone for your thought and time that you put towards me. I really appreciate it!

Mom and Dad's Fun in Utah

Sorry I am soo behind with blogging, But I am not catching up since our computer is working now. So anyways, Mom and Dad Flew to Las vegas and partied there for a day or so. Then thy drove to St. George and hung out with Brenton and Lila and checked out some houses. They thought it was so fun that they stayed for 1 week :] And with all this fun, Dad got a TIMESHARE!!

..:.. A day at Nehaem Bay ..:....

On June 15 My instucter took me, her husband, their lab , my riding buddy and me. We all were squshed into a truck for 2 eight hour drives. Me and Jamie were pretty grumpy on the way home beacuse their lab took a last dip into the ocean before we left and was sogging wet with sand and literaly sat on top of us(75 Ib beast) :] it was the joy of my life. haha. The beach was most always private and the weather was amazing. we lucked out ;] We rode the minimum of 3 times a day. Me and Jamie had many races , duke always seemed to keep up with jamies horse which was a beast(compared to duke) haha. the mornings were 64 degrees and no wind, later the wind picked up. It didn't bug me too much cause me and my buddy slept in the gooseneck part of the horse trailer which was huge and way comfy. so thats pretty much to the summary of my 2 day adventure.

spring... i think not!

Well, I hear its spring. In tri- cities we are still stuck in the nasty weather of wind, rain and SNOW! yes SNOW! on march 25th I was soposed to have a tennis match but then it started snow during school and so all the sports and their games became cancelled. after 1 hour that we soposed to play, the clouds went away and was completly clear and beautiful. what a joke! with all this weirdness, everybody has been out of their element and just crappy feeling. Dad has been sick for about 3 weeks with the common cold and mom is , well mom and g-ma gets continuess headaches. so that is the davis fam for ya!
